P008 → Portraits in a Digital Age
Merging Classical Artistic Methods with Modern Tools.
A series of portraits questioning the rejection of technology in the art field.
Using photographs as a starting point, this series revives the art of portraiture. It blends realistic representation of light, shadow, skin, and fabric with expressive interpretation, translating the textures and materiality, often absent on photos, onto canvas. By combining traditional oil painting with photographic tools, the work questions the rejection of technology in art while developing a personal style. Portraits of family and friends merge classical techniques with contemporary expression, creating a dialogue between realism and materiality.
